Privacy Policy

EdgeApply ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information we collect

When you use EdgeApply, we may collect:

• Resume text and job description text that you paste into the tool — used only to generate your tailored result and not stored after processing
• Your email address and account information, if you create a Pro account via Clerk
• Subscription and billing information processed by Stripe — we do not store card details directly
• Anonymous usage data via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (page views, device type, general location, session recordings)

Free users who do not provide an email address have no personal data stored by EdgeApply. Email addresses are only stored if you create a Pro account or voluntarily provide your email address (for example, to email yourself a tool output).

How we use your information

• Resume and job description text is sent to Anthropic (our AI provider) via their API to generate your tailored result. It is not used to train Anthropic's models. It is not stored on our own servers after processing, but it may be retained in Anthropic's secure operational logs for up to 30 days before being permanently deleted.
• Account information (email, name) is stored via Clerk and used to manage your account, authenticate you, and deliver your Pro subscription.
• Billing and subscription data is handled by Stripe. We store only what is necessary to manage your subscription status (e.g. plan type, renewal date).
• Analytics data is used to understand how users interact with EdgeApply and improve the product. This data is anonymised and aggregated.

Third-party service providers

We use the following third-party services to operate EdgeApply. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf:

• Anthropic — AI model provider. Processes resume and job description text via their API to generate outputs. Not used for AI training. May be retained in Anthropic's secure operational logs for up to 30 days before being permanently deleted.
• Clerk — Authentication and account management. Stores account credentials and session data.
• Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management. Handles all billing data.
• Supabase — Database. Stores subscription status and account-level data (not resume content).
• Netlify — Hosting and serverless functions. Processes requests but does not retain user content.
• Google Analytics — Anonymous usage analytics.
• Microsoft Clarity — Session recording and heatmaps (anonymised).
• Resend — Transactional email delivery (subscription confirmations, renewal reminders).

We do not sell data to third parties or use it for advertising.

Subscription data

If you subscribe to Pro, we store your email address, subscription status, usage count, and billing reference in our secure database. This data is used solely to manage your Pro subscription and is never sold or shared beyond the processors listed above.

Email output

If you choose to email your results to yourself, your output is transmitted via our email provider and immediately discarded after sending. We do not store your resume, job description, or output. Your email address is used only to send this one email and is not retained or added to any mailing list.

Data retention

We do not retain resume or job description text on our own servers after your session ends. As noted above, this text may be retained in Anthropic's secure operational logs for up to 30 days before being permanently deleted — it is not used to train their models. Account information is retained while your account is active. Subscription data is retained for as long as required by law or to manage your account.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@edgeapply.com. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

Cookies

EdgeApply uses cookies for Google Analytics (anonymous usage tracking), Microsoft Clarity (session recording), and Clerk (authentication). We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to third parties.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of EdgeApply after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
